ValuNet FIBER has announced the recipient of its Charitable Giving Fund project.
Emporia’s First Christian Church will receive $3,000 for its food pantry, which has seen a “dramatic” increase in demand in part due to higher food prices.
The Charitable Giving Fund program involves both ValuNet and Sparklight. It offers grants related to three categories:
*Education and digital literacy
*Hunger relief and food insecurity
*Community development
There will be a spring cycle for the program. Applications will be accepted in April.
