The Emporia High boys swim team finished ninth at the Maize Invitational on Saturday.
Emporia High recorded 85 points in the event.
The top swims for Emporia High included the 400-yard freestyle relay of Shane Anderson, Broden Podrebarac, Tyler Luthi and Logan Woydziak got an auto time in the event as they cut four seconds off their previous time. The quartet finished seventh with a time of 3:44.53. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Anderson, Navarro, Luthi and Woydziak cut off one second of their previous best time and inching towards an auto time. The quartet finished eighth with a time of 1:40.43. The 200-yard medley relay of Navarro, Noah Coltrane, Podrebarac and Brayden Shaw finished 10th with a time of 2:17.84.
Emporia High will next be in action on Thursday in the Centennial League Championships at Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka.
