A preliminary hearing is tentatively set for Thursday in an Emporia child sex abuse case.
Antoine Moliere faces one count of rape, with an alternate count of aggravated indecent liberties. The rape count in the legal complaint says Moliere allegedly engaged in illegal activity with a child as young as 5 years old at some point between early February and mid-April. The indecent liberties charge says Moliere was involved in illegal actions in December.
Thursday’s hearing is at 2 pm in Lyon County District Court.
Moliere also has lifetime registration as a sex offender after a 2005 conviction for sexual abuse of a minor in Maryland two years earlier.
