A Kansas City semi driver was hurt in a wreck in Coffey County on Monday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 54-year-old Danny Diaz was northbound on Interstate 35 when a tie rod broke near the US Highway 75 junction. Diaz lost steering control, so the semi drifted off the highway and rolled over some rocks before stopping.
Diaz was wearing his seatbelt, but he was taken to Coffey County Hospital in Burlington with suspected minor injuries. No other vehicles or people were involved.
