The Emporia Senior Center’s community calendar is filling up.
Over the past month, the Senior Center has restarted bingo on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons. It has also started a Coffee and Chat event at 9:30 am Mondays so residents can get questions answered from current Board President and Acting Director Jan Loux.
On top of those events, there’s also a dance Friday night. Senior Center volunteer Sonia Hodges says it’s part of a plan to get people back into the facility at 603 East 12th.
The dance goes from 6-9 pm, featuring music from the band Tapistry as well as a meal for $10.
