Cuort proceedings continue against several defendants in an Emporia aggravated robbery case that developed this past summer.
Antonio Brown is set for a status conference May 23, while Calvin Cruse has a pretrial and arraignment hearing March 15. Both are facing single counts of aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery.
Mikkel McCray, meanwhile, has accepted a plea agreement and will be sentenced March 29. McCray had been charged with aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery, but the aggravated robbery count was dropped as part of the no-contest plea.
Elssy Cervantes, the fourth defendant in the case, was sentenced last month to two years probation and an underlying prison term of 16 months after she accepted a plea agreement in November. Like McCray, she had been charged with aggravated robbery and conspiracy but saw the aggravated robbery charge dismissed.
All four were charged after allegedly robbing a man of a wallet, cell phone and/or keys in June.
