The Emporia High boys swim and dive team finished 21st at the Class 5-1A State Swim and Diving Championships that wrapped up Saturday at Capitol Federal Natatorium in Topeka.
Emporia High’s top finish came from Alex Allemang who finished ninth with a score of 287.65, just missing a spot on the podium by .60. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Shane Anderson, Broden Podrebarac, Tyler Luthi, and Logan Woydziak finished 13th with a time of 3:44.16. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Anderson, Navarro, Luthi, and Woydziak finished 16th with a personal best swim of 1:37.88.
Allemang, Anderson, Podrebarac, Luthi, and Navarro graduate this spring with Woydziak returning next year as a senior.
