Lyon County’s annual spelling bee is taking place Tuesday.
Olpe High School will serve as the host site for the spelling bee, which will feature more than 30 contestants from the county’s elementary and middle schools.
The spelling bee begins at 9:45 am. Due to media regulations from Scripps, the company that organizes the national spelling bee, KVOE is unable to broadcast the event in its entirety as it has done for years.
The national event is May 28-30 in National Harbor, Maryland.
