The Friends of CareArc has announced the recipient of the annual Arlene Eichorn Scholarship.
Marley Heins, an Olpe native and an Emporia State nursing student, was recognized for what the Friends of CareArc say are “exceptional academic achievements, her active participation in school and community activities, and her unwavering dedication to the field of nursing.” Heins is set to graduate in December. She currently serves as a nurse technician at Newman Regional Health and is involved in several community service activities, both in Olpe and Emporia.
The $1,000 Eichorn scholarship supports students in several “medical ancillary majors.” The Friends of CareArc sets up annual monetary gifts and serves as a community information wing for CareArc.
