The No Labels Kansas political party will remain on the ballot despite the recent arrest of a man in Florida on suspected election fraud.
Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach says 30-year-old George Andrews of Dade City was arrested Feb. 10 after allegedly forging signatures on petitions to make No Labels an officially-recognized party across Kansas. Andrews is officially charged with 28 counts of election forgery and two of election perjury. Andrews is tentatively set for extradition and court hearings in Johnson County.
Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab’s office says his staff certified far more than enough petitions than needed to keep the party on the ballot for this year.
