If you plan to turn your home into an Airbnb or other form of short-term rental, whether for a getaway for yourself or to help Emporia’s lodging availability for large-scale events, Visit Emporia has an informational session coming Thursday eveing.
Visit Emporia Director LeLan Dains, Emporia Planning and Zoning Administrator Justin Givens and Coldwell Banker Emporia Real Estate and Unbound Gravel executive Kristi Mohn have a special meeting called “Learn How to Share Your Home.” Topics will include the need for short-term rental properties during high-attendance events, as well as the benefits of listing your home as a short-term rental and city regulations related to this category of rental opportunities.
The meeting is at 7 pm at the Trusler Business Center, 719 Commercial. It’s open to the public.
