Outdoor burns are strongly discouraged areawide Friday.
The National Weather Service expects conditions to be similar to those from Thursday. High temperatures will push into the mid-60s by mid-afternoon, coupled with northwesterly breezes as high as 30 mph. Grasses will continue to dry out as relative humidity levels drop to between 20-25 percent, slightly lower than Thursday.
Osage County’s burn ban Thursday has been extended through Friday.
Fire danger should diminish for the weekend but could resume as soon as Monday with high temperatures in the 70s and blustery conditions expected.
