A Topeka man was arrested naer Melvern on suspicion of illegal drug distribution Friday afternoon.
Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells says the arrest of 30-year-old Vincent A Thomas Jr followed a traffic stop for an alleged traffic infraction on US Highway 75 near the Kansas Highway 31 junction shortly before 4 pm. Wells says illegal narcotics were found during the stop.
Thomas, age 30, was arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, transporting an open container of alcohol and two unspecified arrest warrants.
Formal charges are pending.
