An Osage City man will spend over six years in prison for drug distribution after sentencing this week.
Osage County Attorney Tonya Vignery says Michael S Brumbaugh, age 52, had already pleaded guilty to distributing methamphetamine in December 2022 as part of a case. However, while awaiting sentencing for that case, he was arrested on suspicion of additional drug activity and pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine this past December.
Brumbaugh will serve 79 months. After prison, Brumbaugh will be subject to three years of postrelease supervision and will have to register as a Kansas drug offender for 15 years.
