Preliminary hearings are coming next month for a father and son accused of transporting marijuana, grow operation items and firearms through Chase County last week.
Seth Kindt, age 47 of Inglis, Florida, will have a hearing March 15, while his father, 75-year-old Duff Kindt of Stout, Ohio, will have a hearing March 25.
Both were arrested Feb. 22 after a traffic stop near Strong city. Both were arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana with intent to distribute and possessing paraphernalia with intent to manufacture. Seth Kindt is also charged with criminal use of weapons by a person addicted to a controlled substance and speeding.
Documents posted online to the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal indicate the Kindts had 10.5 pounds of marijuana, as well as unspecified grow operation items and two firearms.
