Potential fire danger is expanding across the KVOE listening area.
The entire listening area is now under a fire weather watch between Sunday afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service has issued the watch for a number of factors that could be conducive to fire activity throughout the day Sunday including low relative humidity, high winds between 15-25 mph with gusts possibly as high as 40 mph and dry fuels.
While outdoor burning is not banned in the affected areas, it will be highly discouraged as any fires that develop could become out of control and spread rapidly.
