A Burrton man was hospitalized after crashing his motorcycle near Admire on Saturday.
Lyon County Deputy Nathan Rankin says the crash in the 3700 block of Kansas Highway 99 was reported shortly after 11 am. The motorcycle driver, 62-year-old Earl Unruh, was northbound when the motorcycle left the highway for currently unknown reasons. The motorcycle then overturned.
Unruh was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka for what are listed as non-life-threatening injuries. He was wearing safety equipment, including a helmet, when he crashed.
Besides Lyon County deputies, emergency crews from Emporia, Allen-Admire and Miller responded.
