A competency hearing is coming at 9 am Monday in a 2022 attempted murder case in Lyon County.
Based on information posted to the Kansas District Court Public Access Portal, Phillip L Trump is currently accused of one count of attempted first-degree murder and three county of battery on law enforcement after an alleged incident at the end of August 2022. The attempted first-degree murder charge also has an alternate of aggravated battery.
The competency hearing follows a decision by Judge Jeff Larson in November to have Trump evaluated and, if needed, treated at Larned State Security Hospital for up to 90 days.
