A status conference is coming next month in a Coffey County human trafficking case.
The conference is April 10 in the case against 24-year-old Leslie Cadena of Laredo, Texas. Cadena allegedly transported a minor into Kansas illegally in late January, and court documents accuse Cadena of benefiting financially from that action.
Cadena is charged with single counts of human smuggling, interference with law enforcement, possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid drivers license and no proof of insurance.
