Nesting Incorporated has its board of directors and bylaws in place after a meeting Saturday.
Founder Kitty Hamilton will serve one year as president, with Jodie Wood as secretary and Janet Ackerman as treasurer.
Hamilton, a guest on KVOE’s Morning Show on Monday, says things are progressing well for the new agency. Officially, Nesting is designed to serve as a connection point between area resources in 12 focus areas and the seniors needing those services.
Hamilton says she would like to move Wood from secretary to vice president soon, so she is looking for somebody interested in serving the group as secretary.
Now that the bylaws are set and the board leadership team is nearly done, Hamilton wants to fill out the board and also get a dedicated phone set — a step that could happen within the next few weeks. She is also working to set up certain technology so volunteers can work remotely instead of needing a brick-and-mortar office location.
