A California truck driver was taken to Newman Regional Health after a wreck at the Kansas Turnpike’s Emporia tollgate Monday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Gurmehak Sidhu of Fresno was southbound on the highway entrance ramp when his semi went off the road for currently unlisted reasons. The semi hit two delineator posts and a business sign before overturning on the passenger side and going into a ditch.
A trooper took Sidhu to Newman Regional Health for suspected minor injuries. Sidhu was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the wreck.
