Late last year, school districts across Kansas spent a lot of time discussing nonresident student enrollment policies. That topic is back before the USD 251 North Lyon County Board of Education on Wednesday.
Board members will discuss enrollment capacity by school building as well as the application for nonresidents to enroll. The district passed the general policy in November after the Kansas Legislature said districts must allow nonresident student enrollment if there is available classroom space.
In other matters, board members will looko through the monthly financial and legisaltive reports as well get a capital outlay update. Bids for the Northern Heighs football field press box will also be considered.
Two executive sessions are planned, one for non-elected personnel and one for negotiations.
The meeting is at 6 pm Wednesday at the board office in Americus.
