An Emporia man who pleaded no contest to aggravated assault against law enforcement following an alleged standoff last year will be sentenced Wednesday.
Dwayne Lamont Ford was charged with four counts of aggravated assault, as well as one count of interference with law enforcement and a count of domestic battery after an incident near USD 253’s Mary Herbert Education Center in late June. Ford pleaded no contest to one count of aggravated assault, so all other counts were dismissed.
Sentencing is at 10 am.
