Elevated fire danger is coming again to the KVOE listening area Tuesday.
High temperatures in the upper 70s will combine with wind gusts in the 30-mph range and relative humidity levels around 20 percent to increase the danger to very high levels.
Coffey County is in a burn ban until further notice, while Osage County will be in a ban until at least 8 am Wednesday. Burns will be discouraged in all other area counties, including Lyon County.
Meanwhile, area counties have a marginal-to-slight severe weather risk for the mid-afternoon to mid-evening hours Wednesday, although overall storm chances are currently low. Hail and wind are the main concerns, with the greater risk north and east of Emporia.
