Junior Anton Sarunic has been named the MIAA/GAC Men’s Tennis North Division Player of the Week. The Croatian helped lead ESU to a pair of wins last week while going 2-0 at #1 singles and 1-1 at #1 doubles. He picked up a win in doubles and singles against William Jewell before helping ESU knock off the #19 Lubbock Christian Chaparrals with a 6-1, 6-1 win at #1 singles for the program’s highest ranked victory in program history. With the wins, Sarunic is now ranked #50 in the country and is the fifth highest ranked player in the MIAA/GAC. ESU returns to action in Orlando, Fla. Thursday to face Lehigh.
