A man convicted earlier this year of child rape will be sentenced in Lyon County District Court on Friday.
Travis Dean Iverson was convicted of one count of rape and 12 of sexual exploitation after illegal activity with two children under the age of 14 from March 2022 until he was arrested this past May. One of the children was under 2 years old at the time of the crimes.
Iverson has filed two motions for consideration at sentencing, including motion officially for a downward departure on sentencing and an appeal bond with an appeal confirmed. A motion to furlough his likely life sentence in prison to one where he is on electronically-monitored house arrest has been denied.
Sentencing is at 9 am.
