The Emporia State women’s tennis team picked off their second straight Division I foe with a 4-3 victory over Lafayette College at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. last night. The Leopards started the match with the lead after taking the doubles point. Andrea Santiago started singles with a win for the Lady Hornets in straight sets at #6 singles. Giovanna Ferreira also picked up a victory at #2 singles while Lilie Bizouerne won in a third-set tiebreak at #3 singles while Sheridan Wichman clinched the duel at #5 singles. The Spring Break trip wraps up for the ESU women on Saturday when they face Florida Southern tomorrow morning.
