Over the last two weeks, access to parts of Jones Park has been restricted as Emporia Fire conducted a prescribed burn in two stages, due to the weather. Access to part of the park is being restricted again this week for another reason.
City Communications Manager Christine Torrens says crews are replacing about 400 feet of sewer line between West 24th and the park’s north drive.
It’s unclear how long this replacement process will take.
