A trial status hearing is coming Wednesday in an Emporia rape case.
Gerald Travis Todd, age 42, could go to trial as soon as Monday, depending on the findings from Lyon County District Court Judge Lee Fowler. The status hearing is at 4 pm.
Todd has been charged with two counts of rape and four of aggravated criminal sodomy. after an alleged incident in August 2021. The legal complaint accuses Todd of illegal activity with somebody incapable of giving consent due to alcohol or drugs.
Trial could last as long as four days.
