Emporia State tennis player Mostafa Elbasnaly is the MIAA/GAC North Division Tennis Player of the Week. The Hornets have earned the weekly award as a team for the second consecutive week after Anton Sarunic won the award last week. Elbasnaly went 1-1 in singles and won his only doubles match last week on the Hornets’ trip to Florida. His only loss came against an NCAA Division I opponent from Lehigh in three sets before picking up his wins against Wheaton. The Hornets are currently ranked #44 in the country, the program’s first ranking in history. ESU returns to action Sunday with a road trip to Quincy.
