Lyon County Judge Jeff Larson will rule later on an evidence suppression request in a drug distribution case.
Larson heard prosecution evidence against a defense request in the case against Michael D Bishop on Friday. There was no defense evidence presented, but defense attorney Steve Atherton says evidence from a search in mid-October was the result of an illegal seizure. A written ruling is expected later.
Bishop is accused of possessing up to 100 grams of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. He’s also accused of possessing Adderall, marijuana and paraphernalia.
A trial status hearing is tentatively set for April 17. Trial could begin as soon as April 22, April 29 or May 13.
