Severe storms are possible across the KVOE listening to close out the weekend.
A marginal risk of severe weather covers the entire KVOE listening area. The most likely timeframe for storm activity is after 9 pm continuing through the overnight hours.
The main hazards with any storms that do develop will be large hail and high winds ranging anywhere from 45 to 55 mph. The forecasted gusts are slightly below previous projections heading into the work week which were calling for gusts in the 60 to 70 mph range, however, it could still cause several issues.
Motorists, especially those operating high-profile vehicles, will need to exercise extra caution while on roadways and residents should secure any loose objects around their homes to keep them from blowing away. A wind advisory continues for the entire KVOE listening area until 10 am Monday.
