A number of updates are ahead for the USD 253 Emporia Board of Education on Wednesday.
Board members will get updates on district infrastructure projects and needs before discussing procurement for capital projects as part of a separate agenda item. The board will also get a Building for the Future construction update from McCownGordon with work recently starting at William Allen White Elementary.
Board members will discuss the latest budget update, administrator re-employment and the quarterly strategic plan report. The board will also consider a proposal to dispose of the former Kansas Avenue School by first officially offering the building to the Kansas Legislature for first refusal and then a sale of the property of the Legislature decides not to act.
Wednesday’s meeting begins at 6 pm at Mary Herbert.
