Tacos were sold throughout the day for a good cause Wednesday for the 12th annual Homemade Pan Fried Taco Feed at the Didde Catholic Campus Center.
Proceeds from the event support the John “Doc” Baxter Athletic Training Student Scholarship and the professional development of the Emporia State University Athletic Training Club.
Jenna Baldwin is a Level 1 student in the program. Baldwin says she’s excited to utilize the funds to attend the National Athletic Training Association Conference this summer in New Orleans.
Kaylene Matlock is a Level 2 student in the program. Matlock says being a recipient of the scholarship has been rewarding and takes some stress of her plate financially.
Community members could buy tacos by itself or even a meal that included two tacos with Mexican rice and beans.
Fundraising totals are pending.
