Residents are encouraged to learn more about a road rehabilitation project starting soon in west Emporia with a meeting Wednesday evening.
The meeting includes information about the resurfacing project involving US Highway 50 between Graphic Arts and Prairie. The project is part of the Kansas Department of Transportation’s CCLIP, or City Connecting Link Improvement Program. Work could begin as soon as April 8 and go five weeks, weather permitting.
The meeting is at 6 pm at White Auditorium City Conference Room 1AB. City officials will discuss the project schedule and scope, as well as potential impacts to traffic and businesses. There will be a Q&A session after the official presentation.
