Six area schools participated in the Lyndon Relays on Thursday.
The Osage City boys won the boys portion of the meet with 147 points, 54 points ahead of Lyndon. The Indians had two first-place finishes. Quenten Stark won the high jump with a clearance of 6-2. The 4x100m relay team finished first with a time of 45.88 Stark also finished third in the triple jump (38-2) and second in the 400-meter dash (50.73). Other top finishes for Osage City include Noah Schrader, second in the long jump (18-6.25), Chase Williams, second in the discus (140-6), Kasen Parsons, second in the Javelin (148-10), Tate Smith, second in the 800-meter run (2:08.52), the 4x400m relay team, second (3:45.25), Dylan Theel, third in the 200-meter dash (24.24), Lucas Gantenbien, third in the 110-meter hurdles (19.92) and the 4x800m relay team, third (9:18.74).
The Osage City girls finished second with 87 points. The Lady Indians had two first-place finishes, Lexi Boss in the discus (125-1) and Emory Speece in the 3,200-meter run (12:42.06). Speece finished second in the 1,600-meter run (5:51.53) while Boss was third in the Javelin (106-1). Campbell Stark finished third in the high jump (5-0). Delancey Long finished second in the pole vault (7-0). Lillian Lohmeyer finished second in the triple jump (32-5.75).
The Lyndon boys took second behind five first-place finishes. Three came from Tanner Heckel who won the long jump (22-3.75), the Javelin (165-4), and the 200-meter dash (23.50). James Marcotte won the triple jump (41-10.75). Kaedin Massey won the discus (150-2). Josh Vignery finished second in the 300-meter hurdles (45.92) and the 4x400m relay of Zach Criqui, Vignery, Jalen Massey and Lucas Griffin finished third (3:51.65). The Lyndon girls finished fifth with 46 points. Trysten Sowers led Lyndon with two second-place finishes, the 400m (1:03.38) and the 200m (28.58). Jaedyn Segrist finished second in the 300m hurdles (52.98). The 4x100m relay team of Reanna Marcotte, Sowers, Segrist, and Kadi Marsh finished third (53.67). Marsh finished third in the long jump (15-9.75).
The Chase County boys finished third with 75 points. Carson Schroer won three gold medals, winning the 800m (2:08.09) and a part of the 4x800m (9:04.39) and 4x400m relays (3:41.20). Tag Groh won two golds in the 4×400 and the 400m (50.64). Luke Budke won the pole vault (10-6). Wyatt Griffin finished second in the high jump (6-0). Guthrie Danford finished third in the discus (110-0). The 4x100m relay team finished third (47.28). The Chase County girls finished 11th with 21 points. Madelyn Wilson won the shot put (38-0) and took third in the discus (105-1).
The Northern Heights girls finished sixth with a score of 40 points. Jaitlyn Johnson finished second in the discus (112-5). Josie Tiffany finished second in the 3,200m (13:19.47) and third in the 400m (1:06.67). The 4x800m relay team of Addisyn Hinrichs, Alanna Brecheisen, Tiffany, and Laura Cathcart finished third (11:26.98). The Northern Heights boys finished 10th as a team with eight points.
The Lebo boys finished tied for seventh with 20 points. Corey Reese finished second in the pole vault (10-6), while Caleb Durst finished second in the 1,600m (4:50.88). The Lebo girls finished ninth with 23 points. Audrey Peek won the pole vault (8-6) and took second in the Javelin (115-8).
The Burlingame girls finished seventh with 30 points. Harper Seele took second in the shot put (34-4.50). The 4x100m relay team of Madison Hovestadt, Kaylin Noonan, Willow Wyatt, and Seele finished second (53.24). Noonan took third in the 200m (29.46). The Burlingame boys finished 12th with seven points.
