The Emporia High girls swim and dive team had two first-place finishes at the Shawnee Mission North triangular on Tuesday.
Sophomore Allisyn Weiss won the diving portion of the event. It’s Weiss’ fourth victory in diving this season. Junior Camryn Spafford had the other first-place finish winning the 500-yard freestyle. Spafford finished second in the 200-yard individual medley. Senior Ryan Peak finished second in the 100-yard freestyle while taking third in the 50-yard freestyle. Senior Taylor Cunningham finished second in the 500-yard freestyle Freshman Taryn Woydziak finished third in the 200-yard freestyle. The 200-yard medley relay team of Brooke Monroe, Spafford, Avery Grimwood and Cunningham finished third. The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Bailey Wiltz, Monroe, Cunningham and Peak finished second. The 400-yard freestyle relay team of Woydziak, Monroe, Spafford and Peak finished second.
Emporia High returns home for a swim-only meet at 4 p.m. Thursday.
