A man who pleaded no contest to conspiracy to steal a firearm last month was sentenced Monday in Lyon County District Court.
Judge Jeff Larson sentenced Shawn Eric Ochoa to 68 months in prison for a combination of the conspiracy count, as well as one count of attempted vehicular burglary and possession of methamphetamine.
Ochoa had originally been charged with nine counts, including the charges for which he was sentenced along with theft, criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, criminal damage and possession of both marijuana and paraphernalia after an alleged incident this past October. Ochoa pleaded no contest in March.
