It was quick work for the Emporia High girls soccer team Thursday night in its home opener against Chanute.
Six different Lady Spartans scored in a 10-0 victory.
Junior Katie Smart recorded her second hat trick of the season to led the way for Emporia High. Senior Emeil Bennett and freshman Emersyn Johnson each scored two goals. Sophomore Keilara Owens, sophomore Emma Swindle and Sidney Linsers each scored a goal.
Emporia High is now 4-1 on the season. They’ll host Manhattan on Tuesday.
