The Emporia High track and field teams each finished second at the Lansing Invitational on Friday.
The Lady Spartans recorded 116 points, five points behind team champion Seaman.
Paige Newland won the triple jump with a mark of 35-9. Mia Trujillo won the discus with a throw of 99-4. The 4x800m relay team of Bailee VanSickle, Leanna Lewis, Emma Beatty and Sofia Ruvalcaba won the event with a time of 10:46.22. Harley Smith finished second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:02.84. The 4x400m relay team of Smith, Lauren Williams, Lexsey Dewitt and Reagan Thompson finished third with a time of 4:24.74.
The Spartans recorded 88.50 points, 37.5 points behind team champion Shawnee Heights.
Jeremiah Huber won the pole vault clearing 12-6. RJ Tabares won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.30. Tabares finished third in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 43.66. Daghyn True finished second in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 9:42.11. Blake Spellman finished third in the 400m with a time of 50.93.
Emporia High will head to Manhattan for a meet next Friday.
