Kansas State men’s basketball coach Jerome Tang spurned overtures from Arkansas and will return to the Little Apple for a third season in 2024-25. The Razorbacks were trying to fill the void left by Eric Musselman who departed for Southern California earlier this month. Tang was reportedly a finalist for the job along with Ole Miss head coach Chris Beard. Beard announced he was returning to the Rebel program and now Tang is sticking with the Wildcats. Tang was last year’s Naismith Coach of the Year leading the ‘Cats to last year’s Elite Eight and is 45-25 in his first two years in Manhattan. The team lost in the first round of this year’s NIT. Just after the announcement, Michigan transfer Dug McDaniel announced his commitment to K-State.
