Power has been restored after an outage in West Emporia left more than 200 Evergy customers offline Saturday afternoon.
The outage stretched from Road F5 south to Road 180 and east to Caribou Lane. The outage was reported just after 2 pm and was restored shortly after 3:30 pm.
Smaller scattered outages have also been reported across Emporia affecting as few as five customers. A cause for the outages has not been announced, however, high wind speeds were a constant throughout the afternoon hours.

A power outage has developed affecting more than 200 Evergy customers in western Emporia.
The outage was reported just after 2 pm and according to the Evergy Outage Map is affecting customers from Road F5 South to 180 and east to Caribou Lane. Evergy crews have been dispatched to the area and are working to restore power to those affected.
