A Pomona man is now in custody on suspicion of drug possession and traffic violations following a traffic stop in Osage County Saturday evening.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, a deputy conducted a traffic stop at Interstate 35 milepost 163 at approximately 11:20 pm for an alleged traffic violation. During the stop, Wells says illegal narcotics were allegedly discovered leading to the arrest of the vehicle’s driver 26-year-old Quinten R. Ward of Pomona.
Ward was taken to the Osage County Jail on suspicion of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, transporting an open container, having no proof of insurance and a vehicle registration violation. Formal charges are pending at last word.
