Ticket availability is rapidly dwindling as The Taste approaches.
Emporia Main Street Director Casey Woods is encouraging people to purchase tickets before the event Saturday at White Auditorium.
Meanwhile, Woods is looking forward to learning the final results of the USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Main Street in America. Voting ended Tuesday and Emporia was among the top three throughout the vote process. While the top honor does not include any official revenue streams, Woods says Emporia saw a notable increase in business development after it won the contest in 2016.
Main Street is also getting ready for its Spring Shop Hop from April 20-May 4, including the annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration and Dynamic Discs Open block party — both on May 4.
