The Chase County boys track and field team won the Tim Griffin Relays on Thursday in Cottonwood Falls.
Chase County won six events en route to the team title with 121 points, nine more than runner-up Marion.
Wyatt Griffin won the high jump clearing 6-0. Brock Griffin won the 100m dash with a time of 11.58. The 4x800m relay team won the event in 9:29.02. The 4x100m relay team won the event in 45.05. Tag Groh won the 400m dash with a time of 51.56. The 4x400m relay team won the event in 3:35.49. Maddex Beyer finished second in the long jump (18-4.25). Guthrie Danford finished second in the shot put (39-7.75). Carson Schroer finished second in the 800m (2:08.26). Silus Hernandez finished third in the 800m (2:21.07). Tate Morgan took second in the 3,200m (11:50.27) and finished third in the 1,600m (5:18.91).
The Chase County girls finished fourth with 65 points. Madelyn Wilson won three events, the discus with a toss of 122-5 the shot put with a throw of 37-11, and the javelin with a throw of 114-11. Sadie Mushrush won the 3,200m with a time of 14:26.24 and took second in the 1,600m (6:53.66) Kinslea Glanville was third in the 1,600m (7:03.53).
The Hartford boys finished fifth with 38 points. Grayson Dailey won the 200m dash with a time of 24.02 and was second in the 400m (52.56). Cody Cleveland won the 3,200m with a time of 11:00.17 and was second in the 1,600m (5:14.93). The Hartford girls finished eighth with 24 points. Trinity Windle won the long jump with a jump of 15-2 and finished second in the high jump (4-6).
The Madison boys finished sixth with 36 points. Octavian Dean won the 110m hurdles with a time of 17.74 and the 300m hurdles with a time of 46.94. Colton Isch finished third in the high jump (5-8). The Madison girls finished 10th with 10 points. Catherine Seiter had the lone top-3 finish taking third in the 300m hurdles (1:07.23).
The Burlingame girls finished second with 68 points. Kaylin Noonan won the 200m dash with a time of 28.98. Harper Seele won the 100m dash with a time of 13.37, took second in the 200m (29.41), and finished third in the shot put (31-9). The 4x100m relay team won the event in 53.90. Willow Wyatt finished third in the long jump (14-4.50). Madison Hovestadt finished second in the triple jump (31-0.50). The Burlingame boys finished 10th with 12 points Jakobe Whitmore finished third in the shot put (39-5) for the lone top-3 finish for the Bearcats.
The Lebo girls finished sixth with 42 points. The 4x800m relay team won the event in 12:00.36. Kennah Speer won the 1,600m at 6:37.21 and was second in the 800m (3:05.54). Cira Plummer finished second in the 3,200m (15:01.46). The Lebo boys finished eighth with 15 points. Caleb Durst won the 1,600m with a time of 4:57.
The Waverly boys finished seventh with 27 points. Carter Ohl won the long jump with a mark of 19-3. Ben Meehan won the javelin with a toss of 174-1. The Waverly girls also finished seventh with 27 points. Josie Romig finished second in the javelin (113-11). The 4x400m relay team finished third (5:01.42).
