Unless there is a successful appeal, Travis Dean Iverson will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
The Emporia man was convicted on one count of child rape and a dozen counts of sexual exploitation in January after incidents from 2021-2023.
On Thursday, Iverson was unofficially sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole. Officially, Iverson received over 270 years behind bars after Judge Laura Miser approved aggravated prison terms for all 13 counts.
Iverson’s defense attorney, Rick Meier, has filed a notice of appeal, citing alleged pretrial errors, trial errors and the sentence.
