A Missouri man was hospitalized after a crash near Admire early Saturday.
Lyon County Deputy Dylan Jacob says the crash was noted around 6:30 am in the 1300 block of US Highway 56, or just northwest of Admire. The driver of the box truck, 33-year-old Kwamell Neely of Kansas City, was apparently driving eastbound when he went off the highway into a ditch. The truck rolled into a culvert.
Neely was taken by ambulance to Newman Regional Health with suspected injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Lyon County deputies investigated the crash. Emporia Fire/EMS and Allen-Admire Fire handled the emergency response.

Certain details are pending, but a truck driver was hospitalized after a crash in north Lyon County on Saturday.
Lyon County deputies noticed a box truck that was in a culvert after rolling near US Highway 56 and Road P, just northwest of Admire, at around 6:30 am. Emporia Fire/EMS and Allen-Admire responded to help.
The truck driver was taken to Newman Regional Health with suspected minor injuries. US-56 traffic was constricted to one lane for about 90 minutes after the emergency response began.

Law enforcement and emergency crews have responded to a reported injury crash in north Lyon County early Saturday.
Early indications are a semi rolled at or near the junction of US Highway 56 and Road P, with the crash discovered by Lyon County deputies around 6:30 pm. Other crash details are currently pending.
In addition to deputies, Emporia Fire/EMS and Allen-Admire Fire were dispatched to the scene.
