Nine area schools participated in the Gene Farrow Invitational in Iola on Tuesday.
The Lyndon boys finished first with 106 points. Tanner Heckel won four events, 100m (10.99), 200m (22.92), long jump (22-4) and javelin (172-1). James Marcotte won the triple jump (40-1). Kaedin Massey won the discus (148-0) and finished second in the shot put (46-5). Josh Vignery took second in the 300m hurdles (46.60) and third in the 110m hurdles (17.27). The 4x400m relay team of Zach Criqui, Vignery, Lucas Griffin and Jalen Massey finished third (3:52.99).
The Chase County boys finished second with 95 points. Tag Groh won the 400m (50.85) and took second in the 200m (22.94). Carson Schroer won the 800m (2:12.10). Wyatt Griffin cleared 6-2 to win the high jump. Luke Budke won the pole vault clearing 12-0. The 4x100m relay team of Budke, Brock Griffin, Wyatt Griffin and Groh won the event in 45.35. Budke, Brock Griffin, Wyatt Griffin and Groh teamed up for the 4x400m relay winning the event in 3:37.46. The 4x800m relay team of Landon Doty, Silus Hernandez, Tate Morgan and Schroer won the event in 9:31.79. Brock Griffin finished third in the 100m (11.37).
The Madison boys finished tied for fourth with 43 points. Hayden Helm finished second in the discus (135-8) and third in the javelin (155-2). Octavian Dean finished third in the 300m hurdles (46.79). Cruz Leiser finished third in the pole vault (10-6).
The Lebo boys finished sixth with 35 points. Caleb Durst won the 1,600m in 4:52.04 and took second in the 800m (2:12.58).
The Olpe boys finished seventh with 34 points. Kaleb Arnold finished second in the 1,600m (4:56.61) and was third in the 800m (2:16.63).
The Hartford boys finished tied for 11th with 24 points. Grayson Dailey finished second in the 400m (51.65). Cody Cleveland finished second in the 3,200m (11:21.10).
The Waverly boys finished 15th with 17 points. Ben Meehan finished second in the javelin (166-4). Ty Glissman finished third in the triple jump (38-4.50).
The Marais des Cygnes Valley boys finished 18th with seven points.
The Burlingame boys finished tied for 20th with five points.
On the girls side, Chase County finished in a tie for fifth with 40 points. Madelyn Wilson won two events, the shot put with a throw of 39-3.75 and the discus with a mark of 106-3. Sadie Mushrush finished third in the 3,200m (14:59.62). Kinzie Rogers finished third in the pole vault (7-6).
The Olpe girls finished eighth with 36.5 points. The 4x800m relay team of Kinley Heins, Kadey Robert, Milly Bailey and Lilly Skalsky won the event in 11:46.12.
The Lebo girls finished ninth with 36 points. Audrey Peek finished second in the pole vault (8-6) and took third in the javelin (109-11). The 4x800m relay team of Kennah Speer, Susanna Knight, Nicholle Bacon and Ally Peek finished third (11:58.38).
The Lyndon girls finished 11th with 34 points. Trysten Sowers finished second in the 400m (1:05.33). The 4x400m relay team of Peyton Weston, Lexi Totty, Jaedyn Segrist and Sowers finished second (4:38.44).
The Burlingame girls finished 12th with 31 points. The 4x100m relay team of Madison Hovestadt, Kaylin Noonan, Willow Wyatt and Harper Seele finished second (53.60). Seele took second in the shot put (35-2.75).
The Madison girls finished 14th with 24 points. Jalynn Weakley finished second in the javelin (113-2). Candice Ashlock finished third in the discus (96-7).
The Hartford girls finished 16th with 16 points. Trinity Windle finished second in the long jump (16-9).
The Waverly girls finished 18th with 11 points. Josie Romig won the javelin (127-4).
The MdCV girls finished 19th with 10 points. Akyra Traver finished third in the 100m hurdles (16.88).
