It was a strong end to the week for the Emporia High girls soccer team at Wichita Classical on Thursday night. Emporia High finished its week with a 2-1 victory ending the week with a 2-0-1 record.
The Lady Spartans trailed 1-0 before Colee Butler scored the equalizer on an assist from Eryn Templeton. Karah Cooper gave Emporia High a 2-1 lead in the second half good enough to hang on for the win.
Emporia High is now 7-2-1 on the season. The Lady Spartans will return to Wichita on Monday to face Wichita Heights.
