The Osage City track and field teams swept the team titles at the Council Grove Invitational Thursday.
The Osage City girls had five first-place finishes and recorded 149 team points. Emory Speece won the 1,600m (5:38.71) and 3,200m (12:33). Lexi Boss won the discus (129-5) and the javelin (115-9). Lillian Lohmeyer won the triple jump (33-9.15). Campbell Stark finished second in the high jump (4-8) and the 300m hurdles (50.90). Dakota Boss finished second in the triple jump (31-7). Osage City’s 4x400m (4:36.62) and 4x800m (12:14.52) relays each finished second. Jaiton Bosse finished second in the 3,200m (13:10.86). The 4x10om relay finished third (54.55). Lohmeyer finished third in the 100m (13.80). Ragan Farwell finished third in the 400m (1:13.67). Delancey Long finished third in the pole vault (7-0).
The Osage City boys had seven first place finishes with 149.5 points. Quenten Stark won the high jump (5-10) and the 400m (51.98). Chase Williams won the discus (134-9). Kasen Parsons won the javelin (156-8). Noah Martinez won the shot put (42-2). Dylan Theel won the 100m (11.32) and the 200m (23.23). Martinez finished second in the 100m (11.72) and the 200m (23.31). Lucas Gantenbien finished second in the 300m hurdles (45.40) and third in the 110m hurdles (18.07). Cooper Parsons finished third in the triple jump (40-4.50). The 4x800m (9:48.73) and 4x400m (3:41.39) relays each finished third.
The Council Grove boys finished second with 117.5 points. Jadyn Picolet won the 1,600m (4:55.73) and the 3,200m (10:32.69). Lakoddah Downes finished second in the pole vault (12-0). Cullum Askins finished second in the long jump (19-5.25). Evan Carr finished second in the triple jump (42-10.75). Gunner Gleason finished second in the shot put (41-4), while Holden Ziegler was third (40-4.50). Caleb Schroeder finished second in the 110m hurdles (17.50). The 4x400m relay team finished second (3:38.30). Keegan Brown finished third in the long jump (18-10.25). Blaise French finished third in the 100m (11.79).
The Council Grove girls finished third with 63 points. Macy Bolen won the 100m (13.31) and took third in the high jump (4-6). Brecken McEuen won the long jump (15-9). The 4x100m relay team won the event in 53.89. Lilliana Blackledge finished third in the triple jump (30-3). The 4x400m relay finished third (4:48.19).
The Chase County boys finished fourth with 76 points. Luke Budke had the lone first place finish for the Bulldogs winning the pole vault (12-0). The 4x800m relay finished second (8:48.90). Carson Schroer finished second in the 800m (2:06.48) and 1,600m (5:17.36). Tate Morgan finished second in the 3,200m (11:02.38). Silus Hernandez finished third in the 1,600m (5:17.35). Maddex Beyer finished third in the 300m hurdles (47.28). The 4x100m relay team finished third (47.21).
The Chase County girls finished fourth with 57 points. Madelyn Wilson won the shot put (38-1.50), finished second in the discus (97-2) and third in the javelin (109-7). Kinzie Rogers won the pole vault (7-6). Sadie Mushrush finished second in the 800m (2:45.33). Lynae Rains finished third in the shot put (30-0).
The Madison boys finished fifth with 57 points. Octavian Dean swept the hurdles, winning the 110m (17.45) and 300m (44.92). Hayden Helm finished second in the discus (124-10) and the javelin (152-10). Colton Isch finished second in the high jump (5-8). Cruz Leiser finished third in the pole vault (11-6).
The Madison girls finished fifth with 46 points. Jalynn Weakley won the high jump (4-8) while taking second in the javelin (111-7). Candice Ashlock finished third in the discus (89-10). Rylie Watts finished third in the 200m (29.58).
The Northern Heights girls finished sixth with 31 points. Addisyn Hinrichs won the 100m hurdles (17.34) and took third in the 300m hurdles (52.78). Jaitlyn Johnson finished second in the shot put (32-0). Laura Cathcart finished third in the 1,600m (5:59.47). The Northern Heights boys finished eighth with two points.
